The 4th meeting of "Public Administration Continuous Training" which shared and implemented by Ordu Municipality under the scope of an EU project is realizing in Ordu. The 4th of the meetings which were held on before in Spain, Finland and Germany is being done in Ordu.

The representatives formed by Municipality of Porsgrunne / Norway, Municipality of Valkeakoski / Finland, Union of Municipalities of Bajo Guadalquivir / Spain and Union of Municipalities of Burgenlandkreis State of Germany who came for project meeting that will be held on in Ordu at 15-16 February 2010 with project representatives of Ordu Municipality, visited Mr Orhan Diizgiin the Governor of Ordu in his office.

Mutual experience changing is very important.

In the reception of EU guests visitation, Mr. Orhan Diizgiin the Governor of Ordu have made a speech as this way " I say welcome to guests who came from Germany, Finland, Norway and Spain to our city for under the scope of an EU life long learning project. Turkey is a country where is in the period of pre-accession to EU. We wish to develop close friendships and relations with EU. We, as being public administrators, wish to share experiences. This project has been shared with its partners and put in practice in recent years by our EU Coordination Centre and Ordu Municipality for realizing aims in our province and in our region such as development of relations with EU in every respect on EU standards of public administration by changing experiences mutually with public administrations of Governorates and Municipalities. As it is seen by you Ordu is the beautiful one of the Turkey cities. We are very glad and proud to host you in Ordu. With your experiences on public administration level, we like to share these beauties with you and your citizens of your countries. I thoroughly believe to public administration continuous training. 'Cause if there is not a continuous training available in a public administration, public officials are going on to apply same operation manner as their previous experiences. I am calling this administration style as "operating from archive". If public officials do not know actual and new way of it, they are operating as well as previous personal applications or documentations related with previous applications of personal. Sometimes it works but sometimes it causes to sustain a wrong for many years. There might be some differences between countries and nations on performing manners of public services. By the reason of conservative continuous application manners of human in their locations or countries, they are not to be knowledgeable with the other external application manners on performing public services. I think that these mutual visitations and training programmes are very important as well in terms of learning differences on performing public services and different applications.

Mr. Orhan Diizgiin the Governor of Ordu gave gifts in memory of visitation to representatives in delegate after his speech. Public officials who came from EU countries under the scope of the project will work in 2 days in Ordu Municipality and browse around in historical and touristic places of our city.
